We limit collection to what's actually needed to run the school and family services.
We may collect information you voluntarily provide, including names, email addresses, phone numbers, student or family details, enrollment-related information, communications with Maine Freedom Academy, and anything you submit through website forms. We also collect limited technical information such as IP address, browser type, device details, and site activity needed to operate, secure, and improve our services.

Only the uses you'd reasonably expect from a school-support platform.

Respond to questions and provide assistance through Hermes, our support and communication system; maintain security; prevent abuse.

Improve the website, forms, and family communication processes using aggregated, privacy-aware signals.
SMS communications
Families may choose to receive SMS messages from Maine Freedom Academy. Messages may include enrollment confirmations, administrative updates, required-report reminders, deadline notices, requested support responses, and family event information.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is optional and does not affect enrollment or the use of school services. Recipients may opt out anytime by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help.
Mobile information and third-party sharing
Mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in consent, and related messaging records will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional use. Maine Freedom Academy may use service providers such as messaging and hosting providers. Those providers may process information only as needed to provide services on our behalf, and they are not permitted to use mobile opt-in data for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Information sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to operate Maine Freedom Academy and provide requested services; work with contracted service providers; comply with applicable law, legal process, or government requests; or protect the rights, safety, security, or property of Maine Freedom Academy, families, students, or others.
Data security and children's information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Maine Freedom Academy primarily communicates with parents and guardians. Parents or guardians are responsible for providing information about students through enrollment and school-related processes. We do not knowingly use SMS messaging to market directly to children.
Your choices and changes
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information where applicable. You may also withdraw SMS consent by replying STOP. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the most recent version.
